Induction 2011

On Friday 1^st July we had induction sessions for lots of potential new Art Students.  We talked them through the ethos of the course and explained the emphasis is ‘thinking outside the box’.  We set them a task – in pairs to look at the images of sculptures and recreate them using newspaper, masking tape and cardboard.  We stressed how it is important to sometimes feel uncomfortable with what you are doing in Art, as if you are being challenged with new ideas and techniques, you are learning!

We gave them the following Artists:
